Grow Senecio in any well drained soil in full sun. Senecio requires a sheltered position with protection from hard frosts, but tolerates salt laden winds, making it ideal for a coastal location. In all but the mildest parts of the UK it is best planted into pots which can be moved to a frost free greenhouse during the winter months.

Feed and water regularly until fully established. Once established, Senecio is reasonably drought tolerant. Move to a frost free location such as a heated greenhouse during the winter months.
